Lori is one a one year term ending in April 2008. Last year we changed from a Limited Road Service Area to a Rural Road Service Area. The big change with this one letter is that we are allowed to spend our money improving roads and not just maintaining them. We need to invest our money more wisely to fix our problems rather than continue to waste money maintaining problems that would be cheaper to fix. I calculated that it costs us 8X more money to rip ice than to plow roads. We should never have to rip ice if our roads were drained properly - which is where we need to spend some capital money to actually improve the road so it costs less to maintain.
There has been significant new development growth in the South Goldenview area. The area containing S. Goldenview has accomodated 51% of new housing growth for the entire Hillside since 2001 and is slated to take on 74% of the current development in process right now.
Many new residents do not know what a RRSA does or how to request service. My goal is to upload several files to give new and old property owners a place to find new information and an archive of old information.
South Goldenview RRSA encompasses a little over 17.5 miles or roads. 13 miles are dirt roads and 4.5 are Goldenview. You can download our map to view the boundaries.
If you need service within our RRSA, please call a board member. Please remember that the board members are all volunteers. Please be patient and mind your manners. The current board members are as follows:
Lori Davey, Chair 348-6050
Robert Johnson 348-0566
Marcia Hansen 677-6947
Jim Thompson 345-8472
Nancy Bataille 677-2092
