This web blog represents a place for Lori to display pertinent information for the activities she is involved in. Lori has lived in the South Goldenview area of Anchorage for nearly 10 years. Over the years she lived here, the area has changed substantially and is slated to change a lot more before it is over. The traditional development pattern of large lots being built on by private land owners for their personal residents has given way to a more modern approach of commercial developers buying large undivided tracts of land and developing large houses on small lots. This approach has caused considerable unforseen issues for traffic, drainage, and road degradation.
Lori has been active on the Limited Road Service Area board for five years and is the current Chairperson. Due to her activity on the LRSA, she was asked to serve on the Hillside District Plan Citizens Advisory Committee.
There are often needs to share common documents with other concerned residents. This web space gives Lori a common place to store documents in a central repository- and ensure we are all "on the same page".
Lori depends on the teamwork and expertise of neighbors who are educated in many different facets. Collectively we try to inform and educate our administrators to ensure no additional harm is done to existing residents off South Goldenview. Future development is a given and we must ensure a proper balance is struck and the future value of South Goldenview as a desirable place to come and continue to live.
